The Test Engineer will be responsible testing Interoperability between 5G core and gNB. Responsibilities Perform end to end interoperability test with 3rd party gNB and Casarsquos Axyom 5G core. Report issues identified during testing both verbally and written to engineering team. Take ownership responsibility for product, including testing, documentation, troubleshooting, and bug fixes. Support demo and lab trial execution and integration with customerrsquos back-end 4G EPC5GC network elements. Collect Wireshark traceseNb logUE logs to root cause network issues. Manage and operate internal and 3rd party simulation tools to support customer trials. Will be responsible to collect intercepted communications for Lawful Intercept Able and willing to travel to customer sites as needed to carry out the duties and responsibilities for the position. Skill Sets In-depth knowledge of PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP, RRC and NAS layer protocols of 3GPP standard. Should have end to end understanding of the 5G Core solution. Expertise in Solution, Design and integration of Packet Core Nodes which should primarily include (vEPC ,vMME , AMF , UPF , SMF , AUSFUDM, UDR ) Should have deep knowledge of 4G and 5G call flows, and overall understanding of latest technologies in the Telecom space including VOLTE, VoWiFi, IoT etc. Strong understanding of ETSI NFV architecture Should be able to work on preparation of HLD DLD for the Packet Core Network as per the Customer solutions. Strong debugging skills and log analysis abilities related to Radio Access Networks and Core Network elements, end-to-end analysis capabilities of UE side logs (e.g. QXDM), LTE vendor eNB logs, Wireshark logs and core network logs. Hands on experience testing of an air interface related scenarios and troubleshooting of call processing related issues (Radio Resource Management, Packet Scheduling, Admission Control andor Mobility procedures etc) ,protocols and signalling messages on RAN Core Network related interfaces (S1, X2 etc.) Good knowledge of RF lab equipment including spectrum analysers, vector signal generators, power sensors, switch controllers, combiners, oscilloscopes, multi-meters, power supplies, etc. Preferred Experience with cellular tools like TM500, IxLoad, Channel Emulators, Viavi Traffic Generators, Pocket TEMS, Infovista Qualipoc, Postprocessing using ActixWindcatcherQXDM.
