The Sr. Project Manager is responsible for the direct management of high-tech Ventilation product development/maintenance projects involving teams with a broad range of cross-functional departments, potentially including numerous and diverse outside vendors. Projects managed can range in scope from medium scale/complexity to large scale/complexity managed domestically and / or internationally.

Job Requirements:

Project Initiation
• Ensures project scope includes global input from all functional areas
• Works with functional management to resolve ambiguous requirements
• Ensures sufficient and appropriate resources will be made available
• Identifies key stakeholders and understands their expectations for a successful project
• Initiates stage gate entry

Project Planning
• Works directly with teams to ensure customer requirements are defined and unambiguous
• Builds integrated schedules and budgets
• Publishes and gains agreement on the baseline integrated schedule
• Ensures integrated plans address stage gate exit deliverables

Project Execution
• Drives teams to execute on tasks and deliverables
• Monitors progress on schedule, budget and technical output
• Develops a sense of urgency when key deliverables are jeopardized
• Facilitates problem solving and meetings to address obstacles
• Holds team members accountable to program commitments
• Relies on team member expertise when faced with critical decisions
• Facilitates communication to key stakeholders on project performance
• Proactively manages risks and employs strategies to address
• Provides coaching and training to teams on Project Management best practices
• Fosters teamwork; strives to maintain an environment of openness and trust

Project Support
• Supports and / or directly contributes to the work effort for various project related tasks and deliverables including but not limited to documentations

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or adjacent discipline
• Master’s degree in Engineering and/or MBA is a plus

• 4+ years of experience driving product development/verification projects with bachelor’s degree
• 2+ years of related experience driving product development/verification project with an advanced degree
• Project management and/or technical leadership experience in a stage-gate system
• Project management and/or technical leadership experience with international teams and engineering service providers

• Excellent project management and organization skills including clear goals/milestones setting, detailed planning/organizing teamwork, diligent monitoring/tracking progresses and managing dynamic changes and shifting priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including management of expectations, and relationships with stakeholders
• Excellent interpersonal and influence skills including efficient collaboration, effective negotiation, timely conflict resolution, and creative problem solving of difficult situations such as resource constraints, ambiguous/conflicting requirements, and other road-blocks
• Excellent team leadership/management skills including effectively managing multi-disciplined teams comprised of individuals with diverse backgrounds such as Software, Regulatory, Hardware, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, Marketing, external business partners and/or vendors
• Strong technical experience in complex technology development programs including ability to understand technical information, discuss/decide on a wide array of engineering disciplines and technical/logistical issues. Exposure to systems engineering, Design for Reliability and Manufacturability, hardware and software development, validation and systems integration would be preferred
• Expert-level skills using the tools and techniques of Project Management. Must have successfully managed multiple projects from conception through commercialization.
• Must possess courage and confidence in managing risks and making decisions that will likely have a large impact on organizational objectives

• Experience in successfully leading a medical device project from concept to market in FDA regulated industry is a plus
• Experience in project management using Theory of Constraints would be highly desirable.
• PMP Certification is a plus
