Job Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide engineering and maintenance support required to maintain and upgrade production equipment, physical plant /facilities, engineering processes/ methods. Develop, implement and manage Productive, Predictive and Preventative Maintenance Plans with emphasis on reduction of downtime, increases in equipment and prep speed, waste reduction and improvements in through-put and quality. Build, monitor and manage a high-functioning maintenance team inclusive of coaching/mentoring team members to achieve high performance. In conjunction with senior management, develop and implement capital projects and budget. Develop and maintain equipment specifications and audits: initiates, reviews and masters all SOP's related to area of responsibility. Analyze and design equipment retrofits, modifications and custom fixtures. Provide supporting sketches/drawings and documentation. Participate in design, prototyping and testing of new and special products. In conjunction with Senior Management, develop departmental budgets and monitor to ensure compliance. Develop and oversee engineering and maintenance project schedules, inclusive of preventative maintenance and parts/supply inventories. Prepare bid packages, coordinates and manages contractor activity and ensures adherence to terms, costs and schedules. Assist in identifying and validating vendors for use in construction, engineering and maintenance projects, parts, supplies, and outside services as required. Develops and maintains systems, databases and records related to plant, equipment, purchases and other technical information. Monitor utility costs and make recommendations for conservation. Participate on a variety of teams that work cross-functionally to improve processes within the organization and assist other company facilities as required. Prepare routine and ad hoc reports on project status, costs, down-time, maintenance activities etc. as required. Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, company and group. Effective response to plant operational emergencies/hot issues as they occur 24/7. Other duties as assigned/required. The Successful Applicant QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 5-7 years total overall experience in technical engineering support role(s) in high-speed automated process manufacturing environment. Minimum of 2-3 years as Manager or Lead Plant Engineer with similar responsibilities as above. BSME/EE or BSIE preferred. Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic/pneumatic and HVAC systems. Possess strong analytic abilities, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Strong track record of accomplishment in environment focused on improving productivity and creatively adapting to changing business conditions. Proficiency with AUTO/CAD and Microsoft Office Products. Ability to create, read and analyze blueprints, schematics and similar documentation. Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively relate across organizational levels. Capable Team Player. Leader with ability to motivate and inspire.
